I have been working at The Pavilion for over 5 years on Reception and as a Duty Manager. I joined the gym team in August 2012 afterqualifying with YMCA and gaining Level 2 Gym Instruction. I then didmy Level 3 Advance Personal Training course with Premier which gave me many tools, for example, assisted stretching and postural analysis.
I have always had a passion for exercise and sports, playing for the county at Netball and Cricket; I have played both of these since the age of 10. At secondary school I sprinted in 100m and 200m and also participated in Shot Put. In 2011 I passed my degree in Physical and Sport Education with Second Class Honours at St. Mary's University College.
I would say my specialties lie in sport as I have played and coached at many levels and have a good understanding of fitness and achieving goals. This would mainly focus on agility training, plyometrics, strength training and improving stamina.
I believe exercise should be fun, challenging and rewarding with my help you will gain confidence with exercise.
I feel 100% confident in saying that if it were not for signing up for personal training with Tanysha at the Pavilion I would have ended up leaving the gym by now. I find it very difficult to find the motivation to get to the gym but the enjoyment of the personal training sessions I get with Tanysha ensure I go. When I first joined the gym I was very intimidated by the gym environment but sessions with Tanysha helped me get over that and I now do feel comfortable going in on my own. I had intended to just do some sessions of personal training to get me started but I enjoy them so much I now want to continue with them on going. The sessions not only helped get me over my 'fears' of exercise but also helped me to get in shape for my wedding. I felt really good about myself on my recent wedding day after months of training sessions focusing on areas I wanted to tone. It was great feeling so good about myself and more toned than I have ever been and that was all thanks to Tanysha. In sessions I find Tanysha to be totally supportive and encouraging and most importantly for me she really puts me at ease whilst exercising. My personal training sessions have now become an important part of my weekly routine and I really feel the difference in my overall energy levels and motivation when I don't have any. I would highly recommend Tanysha as a trainer to anyone considering personal training and I'm really grateful I found Tanysha at a time when exercise really did help me."
